A unique collaboration with the AMC Gospel Choir

The acclaimed rapper stole the hearts of the UK music industry in 2017 with the release of his deeply personal debut album, Yesterday’s Gone.

With his emotive, intelligent lyrics, along with the inclusion of samples from songs written by his dad, and poems written by his mum, he created an easy intimacy with his listeners, which he maintained through his second and third albums.

He first performed at the 6 Music Festival in Glasgow in 2017, and now he returns with a very special set.

He will be performing his music in a way you’ve never heard it before – set to the backing vocals of the AMC Gospel Choir.

Vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Miles Romans-Hopcraft has been garnering well-deserved attention since the release of his debut album LOGGERHEAD last summer, but it’s his 2021 single ‘South’ that put him on the map.
The verses are a lament towards his childhood in Brixton, and its chorus is a battle cry, a howl of anger toward gentrification and being priced out of his own neighborhood.
His distinctive, genre-defying sound has attracted fans from within punk and alternative hip hop, and the last year has seen him perform at Glastonbury and on Later… with Jools Holland.

Lava La Rue

2022 was a huge year for emerging West London artist Lava La Rue.
They released their latest EP Hi-Fidelity in July, a summer-tinged record that masterfully fluctuates from psychedelia to funk to grunge to rap, and was intended a bridge between their old sound and the big things that are to come.
But their creativity ranges further than songwriting and recording – they released a fashion line in collaboration with Lazy Oaf, they honed their live sets supporting industry favorites Wet Leg on their November tour, and they even directed one of the band’s music videos.
Lava kicked off this year with the announcement that they’re on the lineup for Coachella, so if you don’t recognize their name, that won’t be the case for long.

Hot Chip is an English synth-pop band formed in London in 2000. The group consists of multi-instrumentalists Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin.

They are occasionally joined by former member Rob Stoughton for live performances and studio recordings. The group primarily produces music in the synth-pop and alternative dance genres, drawing influences from house and disco.

Hot Chip began as a bedroom recording project for Taylor and Goddard, who met while students at Elliott School, Putney; their earliest lineup included Stoughton as their drummer. After completing two EPs, Mexico (2001) and San Francisco (2002), the group released their debut album, Coming on Strong (2004), and added Doyle, Clarke, and Martin to their lineup.

The band’s second album, The Warning (2006), was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Their follow-up, Made in the Dark (2008), included the single “Ready for the Floor”, which was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.

The band has subsequently released the albums One Life Stand (2010), In Our Heads (2012), and Why Make Sense? (2015), A Bath Full of Ecstasy (2019), and Freakout/Release (2022).

World premiere of new music from Mercury Prize-winning singer
Arlo Parks was first played on the radio at the age of just 16 when she uploaded her very first demos to BBC Music Introducing.

In the early stages, her music was already garnering a lot of excitement, but she was catapulted into the spotlight with the release of her stunning debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams, which won the Mercury Prize in 2021.

She has gone on to play festivals across the world, achieved support slots for the likes of Harry Styles and Billie Eilish, and has raised awareness for mental health with her poetic lyrics.

In January, she announced that her highly-anticipated second album will be released in May – and her performance at 6 Music Festival will be the world premiere of her new music.

The Big Moon
Sun 26 Mar 2023 O2 Victoria Warehouse, Greater Manchester, Main Stage
In 2020, indie-rock four-piece The Big Moon released their second album, Walking As We Do.
They were due to go on their first-ever headline tour that year, but – you guessed it – it was postponed due to the pandemic.

A year later, the writing of their third album was also postponed, but for happier reasons: the band’s lead vocalist Juliette Jackson was pregnant.

The making of that album Here Is Everything resumed after her son was born, and the result is a layered and emotive album that manages to delicately explore the ups and downs of parenthood while also delivering certified indie bangers.

Towards the end of last year, they finally got to go on that headlining tour, with a series of gigs that established them as a phenomenal live band.
